Cleveland Public Power supports, Go Red!

Director Robert Davis and Interim Commissioner Joy Perry join employees in support of the annual Go Red campaign.

Today, Cleveland Public Power and many City of Cleveland departments joined with millions to raise awareness about heart disease and stroke among women. The annual promotion is sponsored by the American Heart Association, an organization dedicated to improving heart health and reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. They seek to improve heart health among all, but today's focus was women. Did you know that 1 in 3 women lose their lives to heart disease and strokes annually?

Our leadership and staff donned red in support of women. You can show your support by wearing red and encouraging the women in your life to know their numbers. What numbers? Here they are:

  • Total Cholesterol
  • HDL (good) Cholesterol
  • Blood Pressure
  • Blood Sugar
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)

Monitoring these numbers will help women determine their risk for cardiovascular diseases.
